In 2017, anglers spent about $84 million at the places they fished in the seven New York counties along this shore. Counting the jobs and business that spending supports, sport fishing added about $570 million to those counties' economies.

Why no traffic numbers yet?
The site launched in autumn 2026, so we don't have traffic numbers yet. Here's what we do instead:
- You can start without a monthly fee. A pay-per-lead listing costs nothing until we send you a trip request.
- You get a monthly list of your leads. It includes every trip request we passed on, with its trip code.
- We'll publish site traffic here. Once we've measured it, we'll post the numbers, good months and slow ones.
Why list here
You keep the whole charter fee
Booking platforms take 15 to 20 percent of every trip booked through them. On a $700 charter, that's $105 to $140 per booking.
You'll know which bookings came from us. Every trip request we send you carries a trip code, like LA-OSW-482173, and we ask the angler to give it to you when they book. Your listing asks anglers who call to say "Lake America Outdoors sent me", and we tag links to your website so the visits show up in your own analytics. Each month we send you a count of your leads.
Anglers can find your page on Google. Each captain page has its own title and description with your business name, boat, port and both lake names, and it's in the sitemap we send to Google. Anglers who search for you by name, or for a charter at your port, can find it there.
We'll show you the real traffic. Ask at any time and we'll show you the site's analytics, good or bad.
We check every captain's license. Charter boats need a USCG OUPV or Master license, and river guides need a New York State guide license. The check protects anglers and the captains who follow the rules.
